Just a little fun topic to show some love and respect for popular eastern Sega characters who also have a cult following in the Western area. For example, Rent-A-Hero by Sega AM2. He's the only Japanese character that appeared in Fighters Megamix. No.1 was also set to be released to the West for the Xbox with the game only being 99% done with the language fully translated to English. But it never came to be.
Personally, I would LOVE to see Segata Sanshiro and Sakura Shinguji. Segata was going to be a playable character in the first game riding a Sega Saturn, but he was cut at the last minute. That would be a gift for almost everyone to be satisfied with. Sakura Shinguji, one of my favorite Sega female characters of all time from the Sakura Taisen series, can be only recognized by hardcore Sega fans and anime fans. I would love to see her in a future game. She maybe country and clumsy, but she knows how to handle a sword. If she was a playable character in the game, she could have driven a steampunked Kobu vehicle that can transform into a aircraft as seen in the first game. That would have been perfect as the Sakura Taisen setting is influenced by steamed powered machinery. Plus, the game would probably sell if she was included along with a JP release.
What eastern Sega character would you guys like to see in future Sonic & Sega All-Stars games?
