Wow... All I heard in that post was about the graphics. Its funny how many don't get that the Nintendo fans (Such as myself) don't play games for graphics, its the gameplay that shines, graphics is just an extra bonus.

And Nintendo is not blaming anyone, they are saying how online people are spreading FALSE rumors that stupid people believe.

Graphics are a byproduct of technology.

Better technology also allows for better gameplay, better physics, more realistic AI, larger environments. Use your imagination and you will soon learn how better technology opens up doors for new games.

Nintendo wants to take yesterday's technology and sell it for tomorrow's prices.

Ultimately you are paying a markup to play a handful of Nintendo exclusives and the same games that can be played on PS3/360 or PC.

My point being... I can't see how Nintendo couldn't expect this. They've done absolutely nothing to win back the support of mainstream and hardcore gamers, while casual gamers have floated off onto other things.

What did they expect? They knew how negatively the Wii is viewed by much of the gaming community. And they gave us Wii HD = an overclocked 360 with a screen strapped to it. They can't even be bothered to make the online services match 360 or PS3. They deserve the negativity they are getting. Those people aren't trolls, they are angry gamers who believed Nintendo would turn things around and have been let down again.

The lesson to take away from all of this for Nintendo is, ''if people are saying they think your product is crap''...then the problem is either:

A) You suck at advertising it to consumers

B) It's crap

In this case I think it's a bit of both.

The Wii U is not a next generation system... it never will be. It might be next generation to someone who has never owned a HD console and has played on their Wii for the last 6 years. But it will never be next generation to anyone who has owned a 360, PS3 or PC running current generation of software.

Next generation software won't run on Wii U.

And that is a fair point but it doesn't apply here.

The reason people are ''bashing'' the Wii U is plain and simple. I will put it in list form for simplicity.

A) Wii U isn't a significant upgrade over a 360 or PS3 and is still behind on many features.

B) Wii U will likely cost almost as much as 360 or PS3 were when they were first released.

C) Nintendo didn't reveal any major system selling games which is more important than ever when you don't have much to show for hardware.

D) Wii U is currently getting the lazy port treatment from 3rd parties. Many of these ports will be rushed by side teams.

E) The screen gimmick will likely rarely be used to it's full potential because 360 and PS3 don't have it. And developers will want most games to be playable with the Controller Pro.

In the end Wii U is a 360. That's why no one is excited. That's why they are laughing at it. That's why Nintendo is defending against it.

You can't use that argument either. Look at the Nintendo 64. 90% of the third party support of that generation was not on that system either.
