What do you think of it? Bland? Engaging? Makes you beg for more and anticipate the next issue?
How could it be better?

Bland, not engaging in the least, and it makes me beg for the sweet release of death.
Check out my video reviews of Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics! Go here: http://foxtraxvideos.blogspot.com/
Movement isn't something the artists aren't very good at replicating. I remember being awe struck at how bad it looked when Mighty "threw" Knuckles up toward the island. It looked like Knuckles was floating. Maybe he was...
But there's no general pattern or any memorable finishes that accompany the fights. It's like looking at kids doing their moves on each other in a karate class. It's the standard stuff but you're not going to see anything special. Different angles and snazzy dynamics aren't going to change that.
Maybe giving them attack names would help. Ridiculously long ones for more emphasis on extreme power.

I've got a huge Neutral Pool so just consider all of you my friends.
Favorite Characters: 1st Place: Dr. Eggman, 2nd Place: Charmy Bee, 3rd Place: Vector the Crocodile, 4th Place: E-123 Omega, 5th Place: Miles "Tails" Prower, 6th Place: Sonic the Hedgehog
Just giving the action energy, impact and vigor is enough. I doubt adding attack names would enhance things. That's just a common tradition of action shounen manga (specifically the battle kind). Besides, would you really want to hear Sonic yelling "Spin attack" almost every time he does one? Why do you think even the Sonic OVA (if you've seen it) resorted to such tropes.

The entire comic is horrible when it comes to action and abilities. Most of the characters in this series use cliche weapons like swords for fighting styles without any interesting twist on the use.
Antoine for example is a sword fighter but he only uses it a basic sword fighting that we seen several times.
Although, when it comes to characters with abilities, its worst. Characters with abilities will only use their power in a generic format. Sonic, for example, only uses his speed to get from one place to another, and for spin dashes. The writers rarely take advantage of what else sonic can do with his abilities like effects he could have on his surroundings, what his body could do moving that fast, transfer of kinetic energy, etc.
And their is no system of power they use for strength. When Tails fought Sonic, he was able to hold his own and almost defeat Sonic by hitting sonic with his tails. There are multiple problem with that story, but a character who is rarely seen fighting or training to fight should not be a challenge to the main fighter, unless there is a significant power increase. And before you say it was because of his motivation, Sonic was taking damage from a tail whip attack. Let that sink it.
Most of my standards for action comes shonen anime, where they not only have creative abilities (usually), they will explain them like a science and use them in creative ways. For example, a character named Monkey D. Luffy, who is probably the most book-stupid character you will ever like, uses rubber abilities in his story. During the series run, he is able to do this:
with his rubber abilities alone. If rubber abilities can do this and it make sense, I think Ian and crew can do better.
