Default Kamiya hints Bayonetta portable game

    http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2012/08/...d-go-portable/

Hideki Kamiya, director of 2009′s frankly insane witch-em-up Bayonetta, has spoken to Famitsu Weekly about a possible sequel. Hopefully fans will find a ray of hope after the news that a full-fledged console follow up was shelved by Platinum Games earlier this year.

Kamiya stresses that this is very much in the ideas over beers stage at the moment but that he’d like to bring a Bayonetta sequel to a portable console and include real time strategy elements where an army of witches fights an army of Lumen Sages. He also mentions the possibility of a cameo from Devil May Cry’s Danté who would attack both sides. Kamiya designed Devil May Cry for Capcom so a crossover isn’t so far fetched.
Personally I think it will be a Bayonetta mobile game seeing as how iOS/android are much bigger platforms for Sega than Vita. Why would a Bayonetta Vita game go RTS with all the control options Vita offers?

That sounds like a game mode over the entire gameplay. If it says "elements" that is. That or it is going to go musou.
I'm minority when it comes to accepting handheld sequels, I'd certainly give it a chance but hopefully it isn't that alienating of a gameplay style.

Just play what you want and don't let others get in the way of that. Even if you are looking forward to that One in particular, I'm just not gonna touch it anytime soon.

I hate it when consoles only get the first game and handhelds get the sequels it's just stupid.

That's part of the reason I wish handhelds would just die and more games would go digital instead of being degraded into inferior Vita versions like Gravity Daze.

But handhelds are more fun than consoles, I would hate to see this.

Smartphones and tablets are better suited for the "short burst of play" style that should be the domain of portable play. Console experiences should stay on consoles where they belong.

You best not be talking about my Puyo Puyo.
That needs buttons. None of your inaccurate touchscreen crap.

    But Bayonetta portable..?
On the other hand, I think it's a good idea. An experience on the go can still be an elongated experience, even if it is in short bursts. People with long commute times generally appreciate it as well (like myself).
After years of tireless effort into your heart, my ideal smile has finally come true.
And I proudly proclaim my glorious Renaissance.

Um, why? Why should portable games only be regulated to "short burst of play" style? Why can't we have more in-depth gaming experiences on the go? The option is there, why throw it out?
I'm an optimist. Deal with it.

Longer style, console experience gaming on portables is too niche and no longer commercially viable for publishers to accommodate. The entire traditional console and portable gaming space is declining and going to stream line over the next few years dictating by necessity that console experiences be relegated to consoles.

So basically, we cannot have fun anymore?
