Will there be a next Skies of Arcadia?

This question has been bugging me for more then a year. I've seen many sources, ex: IGN, Gamespot, etc. Each one confused me more then the last. Some say there will be no sequel, others say there will be and others say there will be a PS2 version of the DC original.

Can anyone ACCURATELY answer this query and ease my sufferings once and for all.

Alright, here's what happened; Skies of Arcadia on DC sold decently in Japan, but only sold OK here in the US. So they announced a Director's Cut for the Gamecube and PS2; This game was called Skies of Arcadia Legends.

The PS2 version was cancelled due to developement difficulty, and the GC version was the only one released.

Skies of Arcadia Legends didn't sell too well, so plans for a sequel were basically axed. I don't think a sequel is planned.

Well that sucks... I would love to play a sequel to the game. I played the DC version, I loved it. I finished the game 8 times, and it never got boring.

Technically there is nothing to go by for a sequel. I mean... Valua was decimated, the silvites ar gone (with the exception of Fina), there is pretty much nothing to put as the bad side into the second part. Unless they put aliens in it, but that would just be ridicules...

I agree that a sequel wouldn't really work...(that's why I like the idea of a prequel; maybe...taking place in the world BEFORE the Rains of Destruction. I don't know...)

Still, it would be nice to see a sequel. Not because I really liked the game, (I enjoyed Skies of Arcadia, but they missed so many opportunities with it, IMO,) but because it was simply a cool concept, and more should be done with it.

Actually, if you remember, there was a black moon stone in the dark rift. There may be a story with it. A black moon may appear along with a civilization and, or it’s remains may be unearthed aswel.

I believe the question should read will there be another skies of arcadia, and i don't see why not, The DC version was fairly succesfull to warant them making legends, and i don't know who that wen't but i hdeard good things about it from quite a few people.

As I said, Skies of Arcadia sold decently in Japan, but badly in the rest of the world. Legends was made because they didn't have enough money to make a sequel, and if Legends sold well, they would have the money for a sequel. Unfortunately, Legends didn't sell well.
