Nier - Under-rated Action RPG by Cavia and Square-Enix. So they changed the main character for the West. Fine with me, I actually prefer it that way.

El Shaddai - Ignition Japan's only game it seems. Done by an ex Capcom guy who was involved in both Okami and Devil May Cry. Japanese take on the book of Enoch. 3rd person action with some platforming elements.

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom - Puzzle adventure game and one of the last by Game Republic. I found it for under $10 new.

Folklore: was mentioned before.

Heavenly Sword - People complained it was short. I still liked it though. Ninja Theory makes decent games.

Enslaved - Ninja Theory game that's their take on Journey to the West.

Resonance of Fate - Better than FFXIII

Yeah, get Valkyria soon as you can, it's an amazing game. It would make PS3 worth buying at $600 if it was the only game on the PS3, that's how good it is.

Also, there's Mirror's Edge, which was released four years ago but still has merit in my opinion. The gameplay is basically first-person parkour and it's quite one-of-a-kind. You play as a woman named Faith who is part of a group called the Runners, an organization that basically rebels against what the city they live in has become.

This is the one with first person platforming right? That would frustrate me, it did with Metroid Prime. >_<

I know I say this all the time but check out Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. I loved the game and it's incredibly cheap now.

It's also a one-off game so it's not like you're surrendering to an entire series like something like Uncharted, though I'm sure many people would recommend you play those instead.

There's also the likes of Bioshock, (awesome) and Final Fantasy XIII. I'd also recommend Mass Effect 2, though you can skip on Part 3.

Oh, and Sleeping Dogs and Max Payne 3. Both incredible games.

Added Enslaved, the subtitle reminds me of Journey to the West. Please tell me it is inspired a lot by it I may pick it up sooner.

I Don't know about Mass Effect and Max Payne. Especially if you tell me to only play the middle entry. Max Payne maybe but I haven't played the series but my sister has the movie (for some reason).

Sleeping Dogs looks awesome though, I'll add it to the list. Thanks.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (while this game is far from perfect, it is a beautiful game begining a new series of Castlevania, it has a sense of epicness, a good gameplay system that works and is inspired from games like God of War and Shadow of the Collosus).

Dead Space 1, Dead Space 2 (very polished survival horror set in space, engrossing story that only gets better in the second)

Dark Souls (I know its really hard but progressing through the game is one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever felt)

GTA IV (you'd be surprised how much the GTA story has matured and how more indepth its hero is this time) Red Dead Redemption (also open world and the best ''Western'' game anyone can play, riding around on a horse is so much fun)

Heavy Rain: Move Edition (An interactive thriller story with investigating and some branching paths / ending, I think you might like this - you can play it with normal controller)

Don't worry about challenge for a game like Dark Souls. I play my fair share of games intended to throw away thousands of lives (Prinny). I should add in Demon's Souls while I"m at it but I assume Dark Souls has more priority?
GTA and Red Dead don't seem like my style, but when I think of GTA I think of mobsters. Is there any mobster/noir titles I should play in its place?
Heavy Rain is a maybe but I know I won't be playing with a Move anytime soon, is the controls good for normal?

Speaking of Game Republic, have you tried that Genji game? I have the PS2 game and loved it but I always hear people disappointed in the sequel.

Heavy Rain is really addictive I plays normal with the regular controls. Tales of Graces F is a good one, Infamous was really good Super street fighter 4 street fighter x tekken and tekken tag 2 are the best fighters.

Also try the Dragonball Raging Blast games. Despite what reviewers say, the camera isn't too bad. Just don't shove yourself against walls and you'll do fine.

Hmm I was hoping to grab all three Atelier, but I guess I'll pick up the other two if Rorona is not too important story-wise. If i do see it somewhat cheap I probably get it anyways but last of the three.

Yes, only get Rorona if you can find it for cheep and you really want to play it for whatever reason.

The fighting games I really want would be Persona 4 Arena, BlazBlue CSE, KOF XIII and Battle Royale. I don't play the genre too much, but I do enjoy some (but for single player). I should of probably been clear in my post about the genre but I didn't want to list a lot of games.

That's cool. Persona, BlazBlue, and KOF XIII are all good. Can't go wrong with either of them.

Sorry but I have to get Graces. I wanted that game since it was announced only for the Wii. Shame the game doesn't seem to price drop if it is disappointing.

You don't have to apologize. The game sucks, but the battle system is really good. If you don't think everything else is that bad then you might like the game. I didn't like the game, but you never know.
