use howies, sniper cannons, and cannons.
you have to kill all 3 hounds in order to get the S...
its really not that hard!

You don't have to beat all 3 hounds to get the S. You don't even have to touch the sniper. Just make sure you're out of his range so he doesn't hit you. If you can kill the treaded guy before any of your parts blow, then you'll get the S.Originally Posted by j2224

custer trads, c10, g100, armor in front, hella lotta rocket pods either side. well, the sp parts of the ones ive said. but do that and tehy die faster than anything and you barely get any damage.

For me I used the fastest bipeds, G100 type generatror, the C110 type pit, armour in front of gennie partly covering pit, then 4 MG's, 4 HEAT rockets and a radiator on the back.
I tried snipers and cannons, but they are pretty inaccurate, even just firing 2 at a time. So in the end the fast little guy worked for me.

those 401 legs, C110 pit, medium generator, two of the sniper cannons, and four of those WCN-1's.
Walked up the hill, sniped the threader in the pit. This makes the sniper and the threader come charging for you.
The sniper has a weak pit and is the fastest of the three. As he started walking up the hill, took one cannon shot and he was down.
I let the threader track me since my goal was to kill all three. As he followed me I moved around the back of the hill. Once I went down into the city I engaged the sniper/cmdr quad. Two cannon shots and he was down.
At this point I saw the threader coming back off the hill were I originally sniped the inverse from. Began sniping and throwing cannon rounds his way. Big pit = big target, took a a minute or two of weaving around his shot bursts, but after cycling thru cannons and snipers about five times he was down.
Got the "S"
You can finish the mission just by simply killing the threader but it's a little more difficult with all three hounds firing at you.

I got on the burns legs and maxed out on snipers. 4 S.Cannons and, I think, 4 S.Rifles. I could be wrong though.
Recently with the servers being screwed I kept playing it over and over with different hounds. The easiest way I found is to put a cockpit on the Burns-like chassis, add the genny on the top with a spacer angled down. Put armor in the front. Then experiment. Grenades and howies are the easiest way. Strip your 1st two opponents, go kill Cerberus and then kill the idiots that are following you. I did this with Howies and snipes also. I had a lot of fun with 3 mines and snipes. Make them follow you up the back pass. Just remember that you don't have a bunch of chips so your stability isn't that great to snipe.
