I love rats, and I have three of them. They make really good pets, but they're stereotyped for being dirty.

Your lucky. I don't have any
And it sucks that people steriotype them. Really, they're the best pets that can live in a cage (That you can legally have)

Hm... I have never really taken a particular interest in that genus of rodents; however, some do carry diseases, and they are accountable for the disastrous effect known as the Black Plague in Europe, so I am not too fond of them. Although the white rats are rather cute, with their reddish eyes and furry, soft exterior. I concede that, in the interest of this certain animal, they do play an important and vital role in nature for the feeding of other animals such as hawks and snakes, of which are of my favorite types of animals, birds and reptiles. I wouldn't mind owning a snake, possibly a boa constrictor, one day. And I would have to use these little creatures to feed them.

They have their pros and cons as a whole, but I am chosing "no." I can't really get attached to them.

I remember my rats...I was 5 at the time, so the names ARE stupid. There were Miss. Rat, Rat Attack, Ratster, and Bumpkin...YES, Bumpkin...

One died of cancer, one died of heat, one got stuck in a treadmill(  ), and one died of old age.
