    Default help! sonic riders problems

Please help me. I installed Sonic Riders onto our pc for my 11 year old son. I checked to ensure that we had all of the system requirements. The game is running at a very, very slow speed and is essentially useless. Any help on how to remediate this problem would be greatly appreciated or else it's hitting the gargage. Thanks!

Well, can you post your system specifications anyways, even though it might meet them it would still help if other people could see them, or we can't exactly help you unless we just guess, which in the end usually gets you no where but frustration.

It's probably your hardware and not the software's fault. Basically what shady said. If your computer meets the minimum requirements, it just means that essentially, the game can load and display the menu screen. You want to meet at least the recommended requirements, which are stricter, to be able to enjoy the game. Sometimes even that is not enough if you want richer detail.

Try tampering with the games video and sound settings, I ran KotOR 2 on my 533MHz Intel Celeron PC with 256Mb of ram and 128 video ram. After closing a few programs I would get full speed 50% of the time!

Just remember, its gonna take tons more then the box says like HVAC said, you need to remember its a SEGA PC port ^^; some of the crappiest PC ports to exist. They are slowly getting better though. The PC games made by Sega Europe run great though from what I have heard ( Total War, etc)

There have been regularly reported issues with this game on a lot of systems. Even the IGN reviewers had issues. Most people suspect it to be ATI video cards that this game doesn't like (it is the game's fault more than likely, and not fixable).

If your system specs are in order (Geforce 6600GT or Radeon x700 Pro at minimum), and you know your system is functioning properly, then I suggest trying an Nvidia video card sometime or returning the game.

This guy never posted his pc specs. He's not helping us much at all.

I love it when things like this happen:

Guest: Hey I cant run Halo on my pc! It gets really choppy and laggy at parts!
Sega board member: Well, this could be a driver problem. Can you post your specs plese?
Guest: Yeah leik I have a Pentium 3 at 888mhz and a ATI Rage and 128mb RAM
    Sega board member:
