    Default Controler for PS3

Is there any way I can set up my the game so that the directional commands can be given using one of the joysticks on the gamepad, instead of the directional keys? That wold pwn.

You should seriously invest on a Hori arcade stick. VF and other fighting games plays whole lot better using sticks.

This is no answer to the topic. It would help a lot if the joysticks on the controller would be supported. I see no reason why this has not been done other than rushing the game out. Actually, they support them in the XBox 360 Version.

Again, PS3 players get disadvantaged. Why do they not add this in a patch? Why do they disrespect the PS3 users so much and provide NO support at all?

actually PS3 owners are blessed because they get the best arcade stick (virtua stick high grade). although youre obviously a noob if you'd rather play with the thumbstick instead of a d-pad so I doubt you'll be investing in one.

You may call me a noob, but I am not a "pro" virtua fighter player. So I won't invest in the arcade stick.

But it is unsatisfying to have a controller with better input capabilities (thumbsticks) and being unable to use them because the software simply does not support them.

Do you really think every virtua fighter owner owns an arcade stick? It a small minority that does.

Basically your argumentation is: "You're a noob if you don't buy an expensive stick that compensates the lack of hardware support virtua fighter (ps3) has."

It is a product and it's customers deserve support.

Damn Right, Nemrod! Seriously, steve-o! I don't have an arcade stick! I would love to play against you in any fighting game, and even if I lose, hear you call me a noob. I guarantee I would provide a DAMN challenging match, win or lose!

I don't use an arcade stick because they are expensive and I'd need to get two to feel fair. Also, I don't use the stick on the Dualshock 2 or Sixaxis (nor will I for the Dualshock 3), I've gotten used to the directional input on the PS controller and play VF and every other fighting game fine, but that's just me, and I really do think it's absolute bull-:):):):) that they didn't allow the option to use the analog stick! I mean, they already jipped us with online play, they're not even gonna put in as simple as a control customization as that?! C'mon! I love this damn game, and I love Sega to death, but PS3 owners really are getting the shorter end of the gameply-stick, here. :):):):)! No pun intended haha, just caught that!

The VF5 stick that everyone is talking about is the Hori EX2 stick and it comes with a VF5 skin only for the 360. The PS3 version of their latest stick is just called the PS3 fighting stick and there is a brand-spanking new one available at amazon.com for no more than about $41 including shipping and tax! http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...8809960&sr=8-3
They are durable and confortible and worth every penny! You can also use it for any fighting game that the PS3 plays!
