Default The time has come to stop saying recent sonic games are bad.

Isn't it time? Isn't it annoying? Let's worry about Sonic's future. If the games are so bad, try to find something good in all of them!

Those of you who think Sonic games will not get any better. Go ahead and give up! If a franchise can go from good to bad it can go from bad to good. I'm staying with Sega! I'm not giving up on Sonic!

    Welcome to the Sega Boards!

Just to let you know, most people here dislike topics about ranting almost as much as they dislike ranting itself, but I agree. Sonic's future shouldn't be judged by recent performance.

Not all the current games have been bad, only ones I totally disliked were Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Riders...

Sonic Riders is a complicated one, alot of people liked it yet some also hate it because it had a very difficult learning curve.
Yet saying Sonic Riders is bad when it sold over 3 million by counting the mulitplatform factor(GC,Ps2,Xbox,PC) is a little exagerated.
Now Shadow the hedgehog really was crap, but it still sold over 1 million.
Sonic next-gen hasn't even sold 500,000 unit yet and it will probably not get there either.
The future of Sonic....Sonic Rush Adventure is going to be an awesome game,Sonic Rivals 2 is being developped by backbone the first one sold a mere 210,000 unit but this is because the PSP fanbase is small and the game never even got at japanese release.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympics is going to attract alot of people young and old classic fan can't wait to fight against Mario and all his friends.
But will it be a good game? We'll find out between the 23-26 this month(the game will be playable at the Game Convention)
Sonic Riders 2 will probably also appear at the Game convention and i am sure its going to do well.
Sonic Rpg is been handled by the legendary Bioware and i am sure its going to be a huge sellers.
Yes Sonic future seem to be bright, but that depend if Sonic Riders 2 and M&S at the olympics doesn't failed.

Welcome to the boards. I liked the recent Sonic games since I like playing them. If there's something I don't like then I overlook it.

I really like Sonic Riders a lot, even though I found the CPU difficult on story mode. I still like playing it.

Shadow the Hedgehog, I like playing some of the levels and helping Sonic characters. I just didn't like the bad language, some of the missions, and the idea of weapons in a game with Sonic characters.

As for Sonic's future, I think it will be good. Sonic Rush Adventure looks like it's going to be a cool game.

    I'm someone who likes Sonic

Sonic hasn't been doing as well since Knuckles Chaotix. But, as long as SEGA gets their act together and doesn't try to kill Sonic, then he'll be fine.

Look, nothing will change sonic team's bad programming skills unless they somehow know how to program 3D games very well all of a sudden.
