Default so what becomes of the archie sonic writers and artists now?

from the sounds of it....seems like everyone's left to perish in limbo now and try to survive off measly web comics if they can even manage that

only hope for them seems to be if they are brought along to the eventual new publisher of sonic comics but that seems to be unlikely

Well, the guy who made the art for the two Megadrive comics got to work on animation for Mania with some pretty amazing results.

They are unemployed. Flynn (because of the cancellation of Jughead at the same time) and the others were not actual employees, but mere freelancers. That means no worker rights like early warning, unemployment insurance, that kind of stuff.

Maybe some of them join the upcoming IDW Sonic comics.

They're all freelancers, so there is the possibility of them coming back if demand is high. Flynn has a good rep as a writer, and he clearly knows the Sonic universe, so getting him on the series would be a very smart move.

Not sure. New people new rules. I think the editor might contract them or they might not. They might be reviewing them right now and if they don't like what they see they might employee their internal talent. Sonic was way below everything else for the longest time only selling 5000 monthly. That's terrible and unfortunately the writers and artist might catch some of the blame.

Freelancers go off to find new jobs. Simple as that. They know their job is volatile, especially in the wake of all the legal going down. They probably kept tabs on possible openings while waiting for the final word.

    Then, very soon, the grave.
