    Default Knuckles the Echidna=Feminist?

    Tweeted from Roger Craig Smith

Knuckles is secretly a feminist. Who knew? During a recent episode of the cartoon Sonic Boom, titled "Eggman's Anti Gravity Ray," the muscly echidna took the time during a soccer match to school his friends on gender equality.

"Can the young woman break the glass ceiling and prove once and for all that a female can be just as good an athlete as a male?" Amy Rose asks as she lines up a kick.

"You know, Amy, anytime someone calls attention to the breaking of gender roles, it ultimately undermines the concept of gender equality by implying that this is an exception and not the status quo," replies Knuckles. "What? Just because I'm a meathead doesn't mean I'm not a feminist."

One of the show's writers, Alan Denton, talked about the episode on Twitter. "The worst part about writing for kids is that my friends rarely see my work. The best part is we get to do stuff like this," he wrote. "Now you know what Knuckles was doing while skipping leg day: He was out getting woke."

I saw the clip in one of the other Sonic forums yesterday.

I actually agree, but it's awesome that it got some attention from the VAs even outside of the show itself.

I hope he will be that kind of feminist. Because it's funnier.

    FUN IS INFINITE.

Sonic Advance trilogy, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors and Sonic Boom Fire & Ice should be on PC.

Maybe Angel Island was within floating distance of Bygone Island. That must explain how he could speak smart on rare occasions. The closer Knux is to Angel Island, the smarter he gets, and the only way to keep him smart is either to have him LIVE on Angel Island, with Eggman constantly on his tail, or to wrongfully chain the Island to a mountain (Just like Little Planet in Sonic CD). Being away from Angel Island must explain why Knuckles is so easily tricked by Eggman in the Main Series, too!
Look, just get a copy a good game, and play it, and you'll be fine.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how many places wrote about this. Hopefully this will get Sonic Boom (the show) the love it deserves.

    Or the hate.
Feminism + Amy rant fans(not the normal ones) = totally . I can imagine a good amount of articles criticizing that.

"None of this is Good, Vector. Thats why it's called war."
    By Knuckles.

The funny thing is that Knuckles didn't have any moral ground to deliver the line when in the Sonic franchise he is the very face of affirmative action (aka getting free passes only because of his origin in the Genesis games).

Either way, I still find it of very poor taste to hijack the characters, any of them, just to try to get some political point across and score browny points from an easily impressionable audience.
