Ever heard the term "all good things must come to an end"? User count reached a low and it was decided that it would probably be more feasable to end the online portion. It costs alot of money to keep the servers live.

Well, think about it for a moment? When the game loses all hype, and user population drops, you know what happens, cost will outnumber profit, and if that happens, then the choice is made... to continue or not to continue? Bandwidth isn't free, and keeping servers maintained isn't exactly cheap. So what of the decision, it was made earlier this year for BB and a few years back for GC. There is nothing we can do now.
As for private servers, it is against the rules to even discuss it, so let us leave it at that. Kosher?

i never played blue burst while it was up and running was it cool?
PSOBB was the best!In my opinion it was the best PSO made. It was better than PSO Eps1&2 because it had everything that Eps 1&2 had plus even more with the all new Eps 4, new bosses, new weapoms, new mags etc. Plus one of the best things about it was the team function. I was so hoping they would make it available for offline play but no such luck
PSU makes an excellant substitution though. A totally different feeling game. In fact now when I try to play PSO it feels rather clunky and slow compared to PSU.
