Was bringing back Shadow after SA2 a good idea?

I'm just saying this after watching the Sonic Adventure 2 ending. And I was wondering how Sega could just bring him back after making such a sad ending.

I actually like that they brought him back. I probably would mind him staying if he continued to act the way he acted after his game. Thankfully that didn't happen.

I'll be honest, I'm glad they didn't do that.

I probably would've liked his game better if Sonic was playable too and if Shadow didn't talk all drama like. And if there weren't any guns.... or cursing... or slip and slide running mechanics... and better in game graphics... and quicker load screens...

forget the SA2 ending, he could have fallen into the ocean and his body retrieved by eggman(if dead he could have been cloned, if not merely injured then whatever). but how about the ending to his own game, in his own words "Goodbye forever, Shadow the Hedgehog."

i think he needs his own series and to only make short appearances in the sonic games.

with this in mind i can't really make a logical vote in this, on one hand i would love to see shadow in future games, on the other i believe he shouln't be an actual playable character with his own storyline in the sonic series.

I think it was a good idea to bring him back, but they shouldn't have brought him back just one game after they killed him. If they would have waited a little longer, it would have made his return much more surprising.
