I just bought this game. Its a shame I had to read all those stupid reviews. Whats worse is people really listen to these as if they were true Gospel. Even the guy at gamestop said he had to "warn me" before i bought it. Just play the darn game , you'll see its good. I have no problems with the game. The graphics kick :):):), the landscapes are epic and grand. It kinda pulls you in to the Golden Axe world. Beast Riding is so realistic, and very important for survival. My only gripe with the game is its difficulty. I am not even past the twins yet, and from what I hear this is just the beginning. I think the game should have more save points and more soul statue resurrection thingys. I died too many times carelessly in the first stages( I know I know im still in the early stages )now that i need them to pass long stretches im always dying. I want to enjoy the story but its frustratingly hard sometimes.

Glad you like it so far, I'm glad its tough, most games these days aren't very challenging at all.

Yes its a hard game, but when you master the parry/evade, you'll do better,

Only bad thing is, on Expert or Brutal mode, you dont see the blue or orange lights:P So thats HARD!

Only bad thing about it is that the new swords are too expensive, they should have added more stuff between them, the tribute is too high, and more costumes would be nice

I love this game, it is nearly what I had envisioned for a true next gen golden axe experience! The only flaws are minor complaints like wonky camera looks after sprinting to static stand still and extremely difficult for normal settings.

I love this game. Once you get the hang of the combat and the dodge parry. It doesnt get any easier but your skill improves and you enjoy the game more. I got past the twins with no problem. Im in the dead world now. The magic is very useful as well. When in tough areas where there are too many enemies use the dragon magic and it will clear the area of enemies... Awesome game!!!

Yes, the magic is great as usual. I am getting tired of Tomb Raider like checkpoints where you have to jump over a cliff or go throw 2 bombs on a bridge and If you die you have to start all the way over is alittle annoying, but the gameplay is very fun and addictive.

yeah i hear you. thats why i was saying the game should have save points more frequently. some parts are so damn hard not to die and not use up your resurrection statues. but the epic feel and gameplay are addictive. good job secret level. but for Golden Axe 2 try and take these into consideration!

Beat the game. Got to Death Adder with no continues left. Killed him with one life. I found that staying close all the time and parrying was the key. When he uses the green magic just jump. Keep close until he goes into his titan form, In titan form same formula. Jump twice now when he uses the green magic. When you get to ride him destroy the dragon mouths and keep the same formula. Eventually he dies. Great.. I liked this game. Dont know what all the fuss was about. I dont know about the end though. What does the axe battler say in the End does anyone know? Does he say say the Boar is alive or something?

I'll tell you what he says when I beat the game, I have stero speakers attached to my ps3. Also, I'm definitely enjoying the game it is a worthwhile game to play between work and college, I kindof like this alittle bit more than Soul clibur 4 which i just bought.

The next thing, we could use is some great downloadable content like playing as Tarik the dude with the sweet looking sword or more outfits for Tyris, because she needs more than just 6 outfits.

What I really like are the trials of tyris and the challenge mode. The story mode was cool and all but it's the extra modes that I like the best.

I hope there is a sequel. I want to see what that monster in the mountain thingy is. Apparently whatever that is makes Death=Adder seem like a girl scout.
