Chapter 1: A New Start
It was only 1995 when Eggman finally decided to unleash what he thought would be an ultimate weapon. That was me. But he didn't like his result. I was just a young little hedgehog. I didn't look like I was tough at all.
Eggman immediately pushed me to an exit of the base I was in. It was cold and metallic everywhere. It looked as if there was no life in it for all its time. He then pointed to the horizon, where all I saw was some shattered robots and dead grass, and an orange sunset. I was confused. He then shouted,
"LEAVE, YOU LITTLE FURBALL," the cold, hard words echoed in my mind. "LEAVE...LEAVE...leave..." His eyes were nearly hidden from his bifocals. He has cold hard blazing ice eyes. They were filled with hatred. I walked away, dragging my heels.
Uggh, how long have I've been walking? Nothing was familiar. I was in a forest. If I would look carefuly, through the space of the trees, I could see a large mountain that was distanced off. On its summit, stood a large castle. It was getting dark. I decided to rest, but all I could find as a warm bed was a rock and a couple strange leaves. I saw a tree nearby and a wooden sign that read "Deku Tree". The tree looked as if it had a face. I assumed that the leaves would be called "Deku Leaves". As I finally laid down and got comfortable under the large leaves, I heard some hoofbeats. I ignored them, getting ready to somersault away if the horse were to nearly run over me. The hoofbeats were slow, though, as though it were cantering, not galloping. I opened up my eyes. I saw a sillohuette of a horse with a man on top of it. I squinted my eyes. What was with the weird hat on him?
I stood up, made my fur stand on end, and clanched my fists. I was trying to look bigger and tougher. The horse didn't stop. I began to growl at it, hopefully to stop the horse. The horse surely stoppped as the man pulled the reins on the stallion. The man got off the horse. He looked around, trying to find the source of the noise. I yelped to catch his attention. He looked down at me. He stepped back, because he didn't know who I was. He was close enough, however to make out his blonde hair and his long ears. He also had a elfish face, high cheekbones, and a nose that seemed to point. He was wearing green on him, a tunic and hat. His horse was brown, with a white diamond on her snout. She had a sattle with the Triforce on it. I stared at him, with a sheepish face. I was only up to his shin, and he looked like a giant to me. I should have been the one backing away. My fur went back to it's normal position, then I unclenched my fists. I knew that if I talk, he'd surely scream, and maybe slice me with that huge sword with a blue handle. Finally, he said something. He had a low voice.
"What on earth?" he questioned.
I thought that I'd finally just say something. I knew I could dodge his sword. A little fairy flew out of nowhere and then said "Link, it's a cute little hedgehog!"
He looked at the fairy akwardly.
I finally replied "Li...Link?" I was sounding like some BABY or something.
"Wow! He talked! Amazing!" Link exclaimed.
I sighed in relief. No slicing, and no screaming. The fairy seemed to be a ball of light with four wings, two big ones on the top, two small ones on the bottom. She then said "I don't think it has a home. Do you, little guy?"
"No."
She then flew up to Link's ear. She was whispering ever so soft. Link didn't ask for her to repeat. He only nodded, like he heard her. Link finally gave her a thumbs up. He bent down on one knee and asked me if I wanted to go with him to a castle. He explained that there was a Princess would be there to care for me.
"Navi, you can come up with good ideas." Link said. So that was her name. Navi. I followed him as he got up on his horse. Navi then spoke up.
"Hey! Listen! I'll help him up onto Epona," Next thing I knew the little fairy was holding me up. I was that light? Navi dropped me onto the horse. And the horse's name was Epona... I liked the name. Link then gave the horse a small kick with both of his soles. Epona began to trot.
I was too tired to stay up and look at the scenery. I fell asleep with Navi watching me. Link was trying a couple times to wake me up. He had enough clowning around, so he finally carried me like a small child. I finally woke up a little.
"Well, Link, you should've waited a little more. He's awake now. You sure are a heavy sleeper, little one."
I tried to tell him to shush, but I only yawned. Link chuckled as he crossed the bridge that was over a moat. Soon, we were in a warm castle. I heard high healed clicking.
"Hey, Zelda, look at what was in the forest near the Deku Tree," Link told the Princess. I was learning so much today. I now knew Link, Epona, Navi, and now Zelda. I felt a small femine hand stroke my quill. I chuckled, because her fingers tickled my fur. Zelda giggled in delight.
(Sorry to double-post, i'm just putting on what I have on my site.)
Chapter 2: Living the Good Life
Soon I found myself in a fluffy pillow... colored pink. Ugh. The room that I was laying in looked huge . I looked around. The dresser looked like Mountains, reaching the sky and skimming the stars. The lipstick that fell to the floor looked like a log to me. Where was I? I walked, nearly falling forward to crawl, to a large door. I pushed it, and in return, pushed me into the room it sealed.
"Whoa..." I was surrounded by little knick-knacks, shoes and dresses. Was I in Zelda's room? And is this some parallel universe or what? I saw a medium moth, and it looked like the size of a monarch in my eyes. Suddenly a woman who looked nothing like Zelda opened the door. She pulled me up by the fur on the back of my neck. How in the name of hiper penguins did that not hurt?
"Zelda! Next time, don't put him in your room!!"
Zelda ran in, Link, not far behind. I looked at her ruefully, hoping she wouldn't get mad. Zelda came and then held me like a baby. I hated being really young when it came to girls... too much snuggling, kissing, and BLECH! Link chuckled, then got the lipstick off the floor and arranged everything back, and put the pillow back on Zelda's bed.
Zelda tickled my stomach "You were in the closet, weren't you?" She said, like she was talking to the cutest baby in the world. I sighed. I liked when Link held me. He'd rub my head like he was giving me a harmless nuggie. And talk funny between his clenched teeth, which weren't from anger, but how much pressure he would put on my head. And when I angered him, he'd hold me only by my arms, swing me, then let go in mid air, and I'd flip and stick the flip. I struggled to get down. She finally let go of me.
"He's one energetic one," Link said, observing me walk out the door. "What's his name anyway?"
"YOU MEAN, THIS WHOLE TIME, TAKING CARE OF HIM.... AND YOU NEVER CAUGHT HIS NAME!?" Zelda yelped. "GO OUT AND ASK HIM!"
Link walked out, wondering what was with Zelda. He approached me.
"Say, kid, what's your name?" Link asked as he bent down on one knee.
"Sonikku, why?" I replied.
He patted me on the back. "Just wonderin'," he replied. He got up. "Zelda was nagging me about it," he said, sounding a little dry about it. He walked back into the room. Then, after the door shut, and a 5 second wait, I heard hysteric laughing. And it sounded like Link laughing. I growled.
"His name....heheheheh hah... is Sonikku! It's sounds Japane--" He was laughing too hard to finish his sentence. Zelda and Impa looked at him impatiently. Link slowly calmed down.
I walked up to the door and opened it, looking a little disappointed, hinting that I heard what Link said.
"Hey, Sonikku!" Zelda greted me. Then she took a good stare at me, "What's up with his ears?" I looked at her, surprised.
Link stroked my right ear, bottom to top. "Ahh, he's getting long ears," he said after taking a good look at me. How was that possible? I ran to the nearest mirror and looked at it. Sure enough I had long ears! What the?!
I looked at Impa, Zelda, and Link. They had long ears. I was becoming one of them? I felt disguisted at the thought. I hate elves. But I din't know that they weren't actual ELVES.
I ran out the castle, not remembering about monsters. As soon as I reached the strange emptiness of Hyrule Market, many robots suddenly surrounded the stalls and the doors, facing me. I screamed in fear.
"LINK! ZEEELDAAA! NAVIII! EPONAAAA!" I began to cry. The robots didn't respond to my sobbing from fear. I saw Link running from the castle. He looked scared for a courageous teenager. He tried to run in to grab me, but the robots shot a ray together, and the ray cuffed my hends to my sides. I screamed, crying, tears soaking my face and stomach. I continued to bawl when one of the robots hit Link to the ground, causing Link to be unconsious.
Eggman came down from the sky in his hovering walker.
"Hu-hahahahaha... So, you decided to deceive me, did you, Sonikku? You had me worried..." He pointed to the Hylian on the ground and yelled "CHARGE!" The robots shot Link so he woke up, they then shot the same ray at Link, then shot him with a special misile that made him somewhat paralyzed.
"SONIKKU!!!" Link screamed just before the paralysis. Then the robots paralyzed him. "ZELDAAA!...zelda... zelda..zelda..." He wouldn't stop saying that. Someone had to wake him up. I felt terrible seeing Link. "Zelda...Zelda...Zelda..."
Soon, Eggman pulled me into his hovering walker. When it turned dark, He quickly escorted me to the Death Egg, where he forced me under a large device. It shocked me. My skin felt hard. My vision seemed to turn red.
Eggman laughed evily. He then shoved me into some pod. It was filled with water. Just before I relaxed and closed my eyes, I looked at my legs, they were metal. I gasped. Water flooded my lungs, then I relaxed.
It was a while before i woke up. When i relaxed, everything was different. Now there was swords and shields. One sword and shield looked like Link's. Wait... THEY WERE LINK'S! I felt some red lights in my cheeks lit up, and I got angry. I punched the glass, cauing the glass to shatter. I jumped out, and stole all the weapontry. I ran for my life. I ran back to Hyrule. And there, still at the Market, was Link, parlyzed, and still repeating himself. "Zelda.... zelda... zelda...zelda..."
I looked around, and saw Navi inside a jar. I let her out.
"AUGH! WHO ARE YOU?" She screamed. I never thought to look at myself after that... "nap"... or was it a temporary death? Was I dead during that time? "I KNOW WHO YOU ARE! YOU'RE A ROBOT!" She screamed again.
I dropped her and scanned myself. I rubbed my now glass-eyes with my iron fists and looked again. I fell over. Navi flew up to me and yelled "Hey! Listen!" in my ear. I got back up. I picked her up and put her near Link.
Navi just hovered in front of the hylian. His breath was becoming stenched up. His hair was becoming lighter and his stomach was so scrawny, you could count every single rib and then you could see his heart beating.
"How.. How long has it been since Link wa scaptured?" I asked, completely unconcious of the year.
Navi sighed. "It's been 10 years, stranger. Link has been here for a decade repeating himself."
"Zelda... Zelda...Zelda..."
"Link..." I said silently.
"How do you know Link?" Asked Navi.
"Navi.. i'm..."
"You're...?"
"It's me, Sonikku."
"SONIKKU!?" Navi screamed and flew back. She tried to hide in Link's hat, but Link wouldn't move his hat back so she could squeeze in. Instead, she flew right into Link's head.
I tried to wake Link up, but he kept repeating himself.
"Zelda... Zelda... Zelda..."
I looked at Link nervously. Would he die.. paralyzed?
