Sonic Unleashed Opening is my response.

It was epic. But if there were to be a Sonic movie, it would be best to do a traditionally animated movie over a CG movie. CG has oversaturated the movie industry.

I'm a little 50/50 on this. CGI is rather overdone, but SEGA VE Animation has great CGI quality and I'd like to see more of it. But that doesn't mean I don't want to see more hand drawn films either.

My response to this is 'Up'.

Not that I don't agree with you. Practically the only 2-D animated films are anime. I would love a 2-D Sonic film, which is why I'm pretty hyped for Rich's film.

But SEGA? With Sonic? With CG? You can't deny.

I was actually thinking about this recently. At the moment, I doubt SEGA has the proper funds to create a decent movie, nor do they have the good sense to know how to please Sonic fans.

I was thinking that the movie would have to be made with SEGA's permission, but written and directed independently of SEGA. In other words, SEGA doesn't pay for it, so they can't screw it up.

It would also have to be introduced as a Sonic "revival." Sort of like how the Transformers movie rekindled the flame in old fans. It would have to appeal both three groups, hardcore old fans who grew up with Sonic, new fans who are only familiar with modern Sonic, and people who never really had an interest in Sonic.

Transformers was an excellent movie because it drew in millions of new fans. If a Sonic movie is made, it would have to do the same, or else it'll flop.
