Thanks for the update Sega

/sarcasm Off

Think you might be able to give us an explanation and not just a broad date? Geez, if I did business like this, I would have gone bankrupt years ago.

That's why i gave up, seriously even if AP is released before june 2010, Sega and the disrecpect toward their customers( Can't even make it official or tell people why), Just changing the date on the website, wowwwww....

Why do you have a forum if you don't even take the time to post about a delay or something? Pathetic.

I don't mean to be rude, but enough is enough, im dead serious, they lost a sale with me, anyway many good games are coming in Q1 of 2010.

I know it won't change a thing, but im done giving my money to publisher who clearly don't give a f..., EAGAMES was the first, now Sega, Ubisoft...etc... Maybe someday they will learn the customers is always right.... even if we never have the last word lol

Anyway, that's my last whining post Now, WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 come to papa

Apologies for the silence concerning AP's release date shift, but we've been waiting on the press release before any public news has gone out about the project. I've been reading this thread and have sent along everyone's comments and updates to the higher ups and wanted to post so everyone knew this.

As a CM for this title, part of my job is to make sure your voices are heard, even when I can't respond to the individual postings. I like to see active participants on the Sega forums and want to encourage you guys to keep posting and discussing the game. I follow everyone's concerns about the date shift, and the communication thereof, and I want everyone to know this thread and individual postings (from this forum and beyond) were passed on, even the not-so-nice stuff, to the correct people.

Just to echo the press release, we collectively agree that Alpha Protocol is an amazing game (I will gush on cue, no joke), and pushing it out will make it even better. We're nothing without our fans, and we appreciate everyone's comments, ideas, and discussions. This may not change your opinion, which I can respect, but I wanted to let you know that there's someone on the other side of the forum, reading and making your postings heard.

Thanks Clumsy

I'm still disappointed the press release came so late, 2 weeks after the original release date... It's without respect against the players who waited for the title and even preordered it.

Maybe this delay is the right decision, in this time period AP wouldn't have any chance to reach good sales, there are way too many games that are coming out (same reason why Bayonetta was delayed). And AP is really unknown by many gamers, so I hope Sega can use this time to make it more known.

I'm still looking forward to it. The game will be great.

Thanks Clumsyorchid, i appreciate you take time to answer, and sorry if you feel like i insulted you in my previous post, im pi** off, but not against you(forum admin) just against Sega, whatever they said, or you, i still don't believe the reason they gave for 8 months delay, maybe im paranoiac, but the gaming industry pi**ed me off so many times, i don't trust them anymore.

Don't get me wrong, i know delay happens, but it took so much time for Sega to make a offical statement(not sure how to spell it) they are laughing in the face of their loyal customers, always the same sh*t, we(the customers) can't do crap, so they don't give a f*ck about us, i know your job is to make good PR for them, and i respect that, but Sega lost a loyal customer(ME) even if AP end up being the best game ever made, i won't buy it, even if that mean i just punish myself not playing a good game,i prefer doing that then giving my money to publisher who lack respect toward the people who buy their games with their hard earned money...

So thanks again for your post, but tell them, for me, they lost a sale, i know only one person NOT buying a game doesn't change anything, but i don't care, i won't give Sega another 50$, never. Laugh in my face once, shame on you, laugh in my face twice, shame on me.....

I know, it sound i take this sh*t way too seriously, but im so tired of the company who laugh in their customers faces(not only gaming company) So, even if it won't change a thing, i won't ever play AP.

Thanks for reading, i know, long post, so thanks for taking the time to read this ''roman'' lol

No hard feelings.

I respect your opinion on the matter, I certainly don't feel insulted.

Two points on this, firstly the release side of things could been handled better, I recognize this, but the reasons are not the ones you've outlined above. I can assure you that the process for press releases isn't as simple as drafting and releasing, I'm not going to go over our internal process in detail, but it certainly wasn't a specific choice to be silent for so long.

Sencondly, my job is not PR, I work as a community manager, which among other things is to give the community (you) a voice internally at Sega. Be sure that while I am not in charge of the press release, I was speaking daily to those that were to escalate the community's feelings on the matter.

I will put this in my report. Again, no one is laughing in your face, and I'm pretty sorry you feel this way.

Again, I'm here and I work for Sega, I am not laughing in anyone's face. If anything I'm rallying the cause for you in this office.

Hey Clumsyorchid, did you hear something new? I mean is AP gonna be release in june 2010?

Since my last post and your reply, there is nothing new on the forum, beside Sega ''statement'' about the delay.

I don't think i will change my mind and buy another Sega game, but i can't hate Sega for the delay, because 9 games out of 10 i was waiting for, they all been delay to 2010......... I don't get it, especially since CODMW2 will be a huge flop without the dedicated servers, every game who been delayed(beside AP) gonna be for sh*t.

Im still not convince about Sega reasons for delay, but i still want to know if there is something new, cause let be honest, a RPG Spy game, beside AP, i never heard of another game like that, so maybe, i will give a second thought.

Im still p*ss off, but im not sure i want to punish myself just to make a point
