No, sonic unleashed is NOT sonic adventure 3, or it would of been called, Sonic Adventure 3. Sorry that no one in here so far answered the question you asked, and chose rather to answer in an off topic sort of manor (contradicting their own points)
But in gist, no sonic adventure 3 is NOT sonic unleashed. There is no word on sonic adventure 3, in the near or distant future. Sorry  Be cool though wouldnt it?

SA3 is just a name.
If any game were to be called SA3, it'd would probably be SNG.
